This Privacy Policy explains what information FaceMuse collects, how it is used and what choices you have. FaceMuse is designed around data minimization: the service works without accounts, and the videos you upload are deleted instantly after processing.
1. Videos You Upload
When you upload a video, it is transferred to our servers solely to perform the face swap you requested. Your uploads are deleted instantly after processing is complete, and swapped outputs are removed from our servers as soon as they are delivered to you. We do not archive, sell or share your footage, and your uploads are never used to train models without your explicit consent.
2. Information Stored in Your Browser
Some features of the site keep data in your browser only. Waitlist email addresses entered during the beta are stored in your browser's localStorage and are not transmitted to us. Your cookie consent choice is also stored in localStorage with a thirty-day expiry. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
3. Analytics and Cookies
FaceMuse may use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site running smoothly and to understand aggregate usage. Analytics scripts are loaded only after you accept the cookie banner, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can withdraw or renew your consent at any time by clearing your browser storage.
4. Log Data
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and access timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring, abuse prevention and aggregate statistics, and is retained only for as long as necessary for those purposes.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Limited information may be processed by infrastructure providers (such as hosting and content delivery services) strictly to operate the website, under agreements that require them to protect the data and use it only on our instructions.
7. Data Security
We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data handled by the service, including encrypted transport and strict deletion schedules for uploaded media. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but our architecture is deliberately designed so that there is very little personal data on our side to lose.
8. Your Rights and Contact
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you. Because we minimize collection, there is usually nothing on our side to delete, but you can always reach out with any privacy request or question using the contact channel listed on this page.
