DMCA Policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026
FaceMuse respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. This page explains how to report content that you believe infringes your copyright and how we handle such notices.
1. Notification of Claimed Infringement
If you believe that material available through FaceMuse infringes your copyright, please send a notice to the designated agent with the following information: a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf; identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; the exact location or URL of the material you claim is infringing; your name, organization and contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
2. What Happens Next
Upon receiving a valid notice, we will act expeditiously to investigate the claim. Where appropriate, we will remove or disable access to the reported material and, if the content was posted by a user, forward a copy of the notice to them. Because FaceMuse does not retain uploaded videos after processing, we are generally unable to remove content that no longer exists on our systems; in such cases we document the notice and take reasonable steps to prevent repeat uploads of the same material where technically feasible.
3. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, your name and contact information, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court. We will restore the material within ten to fourteen business days unless the complaining party files a court action.
4. Repeat Infringers
It is our policy to terminate the access of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We may block uploads, IP addresses or entire sessions in response to multiple valid infringement notices.
5. Designated Agent Contact
DMCA notices and counter-notices should be sent through the contact channel listed on this page with the subject line DMCA Notice. Please allow a reasonable time for investigation and response.
